Part number matches that of a steering rack. If it came from an M3, it would be from a '97+ model. My 2.9L Build!

I had the same problem with my first e36 rack, never found out what it was, otherthan that it was in fact an e36 rack, until it was in the car, 325/318 rack.
I got my next one from mavel rack, with tie-rod ends for $325.00 shipped. 1.9 z3. fyi.bmpr stkr: real racers go left and right... so truComment

why not just grab a pair of locking pliers, lock onto the steering linkage input, and turn it all the way to lock on one side, and count the turns until you hit the other lock?
that will definitely tell you which one it is, for the most part.My 2.9L Build!

What the fuck is your problem? I was just suggesting it, not trying to challenge your intelligence but obviously you just brought it out yourself. I need blunt to suggest what kind of dick you should eat. I am not your mate either, you want a mate, there has to be tons of gay websites on the internet just for people like you.Comment

About Team NABR:
Team NABR is a message board maintained by a small group of sysadmins whose primary goal is to keep the signal to noise ratio at a respectable level. Team NABR is known for having the most comprehensive DSM Technical Archives on the Internet.
Our technical forums consist of DSM, EVO, Supra, WRX, SRT4 content. Our Parts Trader forum is the most reputable forum of its kind on the Internet. There's also plenty of off-topic forums for all your BS'ing needs.
In order to maintain sanity, we require that our users follow a simple set of rules. You are considered a FNG until you reach 50 posts. The Parts Trader is not available to members with less than 50 posts. Our private forum is not available to members with less than 500 posts. And we are tough on FNGs -- it's easy to join, but difficult for choads and trolls to survive.
"NABR has role models for just about everyone. We have champion race car drivers and builders, successful business people, and budding sex stars. Got a question about network security, financial investing, running single-digit ETs, or scoring a threesome? We got ya covered." - Jack Thorsen

EDIT : further research, they are DSM guys... Woot, maybe I can sell one of them my ESI-R?
